Manufacturer Achieves Global Safety Visibility Across 260 sites
Project Description
Company Profile:
Fortune 500 manufacturing company with multiple business units throughout the North America, EMEA and APAC.
Problem Statement:
At this company, safety of the employees was a top priority. Even with this focus on safety, the organization had the following challenges:
- Lack of a global process to collect, measure, or analyze its safety performance
- Diverse pockets of management and a number of systems that did not effectively support the management of risk, the sharing of best practices and the overall reporting of safety information
- Limited timely visibility of key information for employees and executives
Solution:
Delstra assisted the company in reviewing cloud-based models to help meet its business objectives. We managed the design, build and deployment of a solution running on a SaaS-based cloud platform for more than 2,000 employees in 260 sites.
Our team provided the consulting and program management to lead this global initiative through the entire solution implementation life cycle including:
- Global safety services framework, safety services center of excellence and global requirements with stakeholders from US, EMEA & APAC.
- Phased implementation using Agile sprints based on functional and geographic solution targets.
- Integration with existing architecture components to optimize business use (SAP and Single Signon)
The solution enabled a global process and system to collect, measure, and analyze safety performance.
Results:
The results were the best safety performance in the company history. This system was highlighted by the CEO in the main body of the annual report as a major contributing factor.
