Company Profile:

Fortune 500 manufacturing company with multiple business units throughout the US, Europe and APAC. The company produces goods and material largely for the construction industry.

Problem Statement:

The APAC business unit headquartered in Australia and the enterprise had the following challenges:

  • Unable able to leverage enterprise Shared Services across all areas of Finance including Hedging
  • Lack of timely financial transparency,
  • Limited visibility into the Supply Chain hindering decision making capability to best leverage working capital
  • APAC BU was on an ERP that did not utilize the BU standard ERP platform.

Solution:
Delstra established the Global PMO and managed the entire transformation program. Our team provided the program management and consulting to lead this global initiative through the entire solution implementation life cycle including design, integration, configuration, testing, training and deployment.

The program team executing the transformation program was as follows:

  • 12+ strategic business design and technology architects were based in the US
  •  25+ business process, local IT  and organizational change agents were based in AUS
  •  20+ technical designers, developers and configurators were based in India

A suite of Oracle Financial and Supply Chain modules were implemented in an aggressive 6 month timeframe.

Results:

Reduced SG&A expense and provided timely visibility for improved enterprise decision making.
